Join Our Team as a Vascular Technologist (Mandarin/Cantonese) 🌟

Seeking a dedicated Vascular Technologist proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese to perform non-invasive vascular testing and contribute to excellent patient care within our vascular surgery unit.

Position Details

  • Location: Upper East Side & Lower East Side
  • Organization: Vascular Surgery
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 35 hours/week
  • Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
  • Salary Range: $42.34 - $49.53 per hour (NYC Office roles, per NYC Human Rights Law)

Position Summary

Under general guidance, you will perform a full range of non-invasive vascular testing procedures, supporting our vascular surgery team and ensuring accurate diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Accompany providers, gather patient history, explain procedures, and answer questions to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Vascular Testing: Conduct arterial and venous circulation evaluations using Doppler, pulse volume recorder, photoplethysmography, and duplex ultrasound techniques.
  • Complex Studies: Perform advanced evaluations such as post-op graft assessment, renal artery duplex scans, AVF/AVG evaluation, and endovascular duplex studies.
  • Report Preparation: Compile and interpret test results, notify physicians of abnormalities, and ensure accurate documentation for billing and follow-up.
  • Educational Support: Provide educational resources to staff, patients, and visitors about diagnostic testing processes and applications.
  • Accreditation & Maintenance: Assist with accreditation processes, maintain equipment inventory, and ensure facilities meet safety and operational standards.
  • Patient Care: Greet and triage patients, verify identities, assist with transfers and preparations, and uphold safety and infection control protocols.
  • Professional Development: Attend workshops and seminars to stay updated on best practices and contribute to research and publications.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

Approximately 3 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist or Technician

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound vascular program

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

This role may require occasional lifting of equipment and assisting patients with transfers.
