Credit and Lending Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Needs Assessment: Understand customer objectives and provide advice on borrowing strategies and products that best meet their financial goals.
  • Sales & Service Execution: Fulfill sales and service activities in line with approved procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Referrals & Collaboration: Recognize opportunities to refer customers to other business groups and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Channel Management: Utilize various communication channels based on market needs to enhance customer experience and meet business targets.
  • Training & Coaching: May provide guidance and training to junior associates as needed.
  • Customer Interaction: Probe to understand customer needs and offer personalized advice on personal banking and borrowing strategies.
  • Transaction & Documentation: Manage customer transactions and ensure accurate documentation is completed for processed requests.
  • Knowledge & Research: Maintain current knowledge of personal banking and lending products, conducting research on lending applications when necessary.
  • Customer Experience & Confidentiality: Handle customer contacts professionally and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Compliance & Security: Report suspicious activity, adhere to regulatory requirements including AML laws, FCAC standards, and Privacy Act provisions.
  • Credit Decisions & Recommendations: Make informed credit decisions following sound principles and bank policies, using authorized qualifications.
  • Issue Resolution & Analysis: Address complex issues, determine next steps, and escalate unresolved matters to management when required.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned, including broader work or special projects.

Qualifications

  • Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; a post-secondary degree in a related field is desirable or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of personal lending, home financing products, and current market trends.
  • Understanding of contact centre operations, processes, and technology metrics.
  • Specialized knowledge as required.
  • Languages: Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is a must.
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Employment Details

Salary Range: $36,600.00 – $67,500.00 annually 💰

Pay type: Salaried

Note: Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Compensation may include a commission structure.

Estimated Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour based on qualifications.
