Job Description: What You Will Do 📝
The Teller I in our store location plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Your responsibilities include processing daily banking transactions accurately and educating customers on our products and services, or referring them to the appropriate partner for specialized solutions.
Responsibilities & Scope 🌐
- Deliver on TD's Brand promise by providing a Legendary Customer experience
- Efficiently handle customer transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, safe deposit payments
- Cash checks, verify currency, balance cash drawers, and manage night deposits with high accuracy
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly, escalating as needed
- Lead lobby activities by welcoming and guiding customers warmly
- Identify customer preferences and educate on digital/self-service options
- Conduct needs-based conversations, offer financial/digital solutions, and refer customers to partners
- Make sound decisions, resolve issues timely, and escalate complex problems
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act)
- Verify customer identities and follow authentication procedures
- Balance cash drawers, ATMs, and recyclers accurately
- Adhere to safe deposit procedures and safeguard cash and customer information
- Follow security measures and audit protocols to minimize loss and prevent fraud
- Complete all required training by set deadlines
Qualifications & Skills 🎓
- High School diploma or GED required
- Preferred: 6 months related experience or equivalent (e.g., volunteering, military service)
- Availability to work during all operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Physical & Travel Requirements 🚶♂️✈️
This role involves performing sedentary work, frequent multi-tasking, and operating standard office equipment. Occasional travel domestically is expected, but international travel is not required.
