Job Description 🏦

The Teller I plays a vital role in our TD Store locations by delivering legendary customer experiences through accurate and efficient banking transactions. They also promote TD’s products and services or refer customers to specialized partners.

Depth & Scope of Responsibilities

• Deliver on TD's Brand promise by providing exceptional customer service
• Perform deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently
• Handle cash transactions with high accuracy, including check cashing and currency verification
• Respond to customer inquiries and escalate issues as needed
• Lead lobby flow, welcome customers warmly, and guide appropriately
• Understand customer preferences and educate on digital banking options
• Conduct needs-based conversations, offering financial solutions and referrals
• Make timely decisions and resolve problems, escalating complex issues
• Maintain strict compliance with regulations like the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
• Authenticate customer identities following policies
• Balance ATMs and cash dispensers accurately
• Follow safe deposit procedures and protect customer information securely
• Adhere to security and audit measures to prevent fraud and minimize loss
• Complete all required training sessions on time

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Preference for 6 months of related experience or equivalent through volunteering, education, or military service
• Availability to work during operating hours, including weekends and evenings
• Customer service skills preferred
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, adaptable to fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication abilities—clear, concise, and consistent

• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
• Occasional lifting under 25 lbs. or over 25 lbs.
• Performing tasks such as bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing occasionally
• Repetitive actions like reading, writing, and data entry continuously
