Technical Operations Engineer - Japanese Bilingual

Join our team as a bridge between software development in Japan and manufacturing in North America. This role focuses on coordinating software operations, resolving issues, and managing releases for mass-produced products — emphasizing communication and management over programming skills. 🌏🛠️

Position Overview

This role serves as a liaison—connecting the Japan-based software development team with the North American manufacturing plant. The focus is on ensuring smooth operations, issue resolution, and effective release management, primarily through coordination and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• 🔗 Bridge Engineering (Japan Development Team & North America Plant)

  • Collect and organize issues and production challenges from the plant
  • Coordinate with the software engineering team in Japan for analysis
  • Review and understand analysis results and corrective actions
  • Communicate findings and solutions back to the plant
  • Support implementation of corrective measures

• 🚀 Software Release & Management

  • Register software released by the Japan development team into the BOM management system
  • Coordinate release instructions and updates to the plant

• 🤝 Problem Solving & Coordination

  • Resolve issues in collaboration with plant and design teams
  • Act as a communication hub among stakeholders
  • Manage progress and escalate issues when necessary

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Japanese
• Basic understanding of IT and software development processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing (especially mass production products)
• Experience in software development or quality assurance
• Experience with BOM management systems
• Experience with process automation (e.g., scripting)
