🎯 Primary Function
As a Teacher - Classroom, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging instruction tailored to student learning needs
- Supervising students in various school settings
- Monitoring and evaluating student outcomes to ensure progress
📝 Minimum Qualifications
- Holding a professional license with a teaching endorsement at the appropriate level (elementary, middle, or high school) and content area
- Demonstrating professionalism and personal characteristics essential for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and the community
- Ability to monitor student work and manage classrooms with diverse seating arrangements
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple work locations if assigned to an itinerant position
- Proficiency in preparing clear and concise written reports
- Capacity to monitor and promote appropriate student behavior in indoor and outdoor settings
- Demonstrating high moral standards and integrity

- Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Establishing and communicating clear learning objectives for lessons and activities

- Maintaining standards of student behavior conducive to a productive learning space
- Promoting respectful conduct and productive citizenship among students
- Assessing student progress through multiple data sources
- Collaborating with resources and personnel to support individual student needs
- Keeping accurate records in accordance with legal and district requirements
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and school activities
- Fostering positive school-community relations
- Collaborating with colleagues and administrative staff to enhance the school environment
- Planning purposeful activities for support staff, substitutes, and volunteers
- Engaging in ongoing professional growth and demonstrating professionalism
- Identifying and procuring resources necessary for effective instruction
- Contributing to the broader school programs and initiatives
- Participating in staff meetings and committees as required
- Performing other duties as assigned by the school administration
🧑🏫 Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The physical aspects of this role include:
- Sitting and standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for activities such as dialing, data entry, and classroom tasks
- Listening and speaking clearly in various environments
- Lifting up to 25 pounds
- Bending, stooping, sitting on the floor, climbing stairs, walking, and reaching overhead

📋 Reporting & Terms of Employment
- Reports to: School Administrator
- Employment Duration: 200 days per year, with additional days as needed
- Salary: Commensurate with the School Board Pay Plan
