🎯 General Purpose
Under the supervision of the Principal and/or other designated administrator, the Teacher develops and implements an instructional program tailored to meet the needs of all students. This includes assessing and evaluating student performance and modifying instructional activities as needed to promote effective learning.

- Practice and promote positive interaction among students by demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and maintaining interest.
- Encourage self-direction and self-motivation in students.
- Adapt instructional presentation of subject content to students' needs and interests.
- Maintain organized, long-range lesson plans demonstrating effective planning.
- Utilize a variety of appropriate materials and resources.
- Clearly communicate lesson objectives and their importance to students.
- Employ varied teaching techniques and learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
- Monitor student progress effectively and inform appropriate stakeholders accordingly.
🏫 School Building Responsibilities
- Complete required reports promptly and accurately.
- Accept responsibilities outside the classroom as they relate to the school.
- Ensure a neat, safe environment for students under your care.

🎓 Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or relevant education in the assigned subject area.
- Valid Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement in the assigned area, or eligibility to obtain one.

⚙️ Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The environment primarily involves inside classroom activities, possibly including outdoor tasks, with moderate noise levels and temperature control. No exposure to chemicals or poor air quality is expected. The role involves light physical effort up to 20 pounds, such as lifting or moving objects.
Physical and mental capacities required include prolonged standing and sitting, repetitive hand/wrist movements, forceful lower-body movements, visual color and object identification, communication skills, sound perception, and rational decision-making skills.
