📋 Job Description

Under the supervision of the school principal, the teacher will:

• Plan and deliver appropriate learning experiences for students
• Create an environment conducive to students’ intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development
• Supervise students in various school settings
• Monitor and evaluate student progress
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members
• Develop, adapt, and select instructional plans and materials to meet diverse needs
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school procedures
• Ensure proper care and use of equipment and facilities

Physical Demands: As required by job duties.

Special Requirements: Attendance at school meetings, programs, and activities outside instructional hours as mandated by the MCEA agreement.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the MCPS Teacher Professional Growth System (TPGS) and Supporting Services (SEIU) Professional Growth System (SSPGS)

🎓 Education, Training & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable education field from an accredited college or university
• Meets Maryland State certification requirements in the appropriate field of education
