Join our team in Chicago, IL, as a Bilingual Japanese Tax Senior and play a key role in providing exceptional tax services to our Japanese clients.

Job Details

• Review of US individual income tax returns, focusing on Japanese clients
• Review of tax notice response letters
• Perform computer-based tax research
• Verify that personal tax returns comply with federal and state regulations
• Correspond with clients regarding questions and issues
• Maintain communication with CDH US Tax Department
• Proactively communicate with clients and respond to their requests with a Five Star Service attitude
• Review payroll gross-up work

Expected Personal Responsibilities

• Display strong verbal and written communication skills while managing multiple projects
• Engage in accurate planning, goal setting, prioritization, and project management
• Develop long-term, constructive, and collaborative relationships within the workplace
• Maintain Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits
• Embody CDH's core values and deliver Five Star Service to clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or MBA in accounting or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in US/international tax at a CPA firm
• Valid CPA license is a plus (not required)
• TOEIC score of 700 or higher
• Knowledge of Japanese tax practice is a plus
