Job Description
The Employee Relations Sr. Specialist plays a vital role in fostering a positive and productive workplace within our distribution network. You'll serve as a resource for promoting fair employee relations, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws, resolving workplace conflicts, conducting investigations, and mitigating risks. If you excel at conflict resolution and collaboration, this role offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a strategic advisor alongside HR and business teams.
About The Job
- 🤝 Serve as the primary contact for employee relations concerns across the US/Canada distribution network.
- 🔍 Conduct prompt and impartial investigations into employee complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
- 🧑💼 Partner with managers and supervisors to address performance, conduct, and policy issues.
- 🎓 Coach leaders on employee relations strategies and conflict resolution techniques.
- 📝 Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential documentation of employee relations issues and investigations.
- 📊 Monitor workplace trends and recommend solutions to enhance employee satisfaction and prevent issues.
- 📋 Assist with compliance programs such as training initiatives, audits, and policy updates.
- 🤝 Collaborate with HR team members on performance management, corrective actions, and terminations.
- ⚖️ Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure alignment with internal policies.
- 📄 Oversee and develop HR policies to ensure consistency and legal compliance across the organization.
- 🌟 Contribute to positive associate relations programs to foster a welcoming environment.
About You
- 🎓 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 🕐 Minimum of 5 years of employee relations or HR experience within distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse sectors.
- 📚 Strong knowledge of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and other employment laws.
- 🤝 Experience working in both unionized and non-union environments.
- 💡 Creative thinker with a strong ethical foundation.
- 🗣️ Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- 💻 Proficient in HRIS systems.
Additional Details
This role is remote eligible. The expected starting salary ranges from $67,200 to $105,000 per year, with actual compensation based on factors such as education, experience, performance, and location.
