Scope of the Role

The Global Vendor Management Specialist will own relationships with key vendors across multiple categories, driving top and bottom-line results through negotiations, performance tracking, and strategic growth initiatives. This role involves staying informed on industry trends, executing tactical and strategic plans, and improving customer experiences.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Director of Vendor Management & Global Sourcing and collaborates with cross-functional teams within the organization.

🔑 Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain business relationships with vendors for benefits such as financial support, manufacturing priority, and product excellence.
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning, Sales, Product Quality, Development, Procurement, and Sourcing to plan purchases based on vendor capacity and market conditions.
  • Lead strategic negotiations to resolve chargebacks, improve product quality, and recover company losses.
  • Serve as the primary contact between vendors and internal teams regarding delivery, quality, and contracts.
  • Implement vendor governance processes to maximize value, identify new opportunities, and plan proactively.
  • Ensure timely responses from vendors, validate production schedules, and facilitate access for inspections.
  • Monitor vendor compliance and performance metrics through regular reviews.
  • Develop and execute corrective action plans to enhance vendor performance and prevent recurring issues.
  • Aggregate vendor performance data to provide strategic recommendations aligned with business goals.
  • Manage escalation processes and coordinate solutions with vendors and internal departments.
  • Regularly review and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements.
  • Assess vendors for new product collaboration based on performance and capacity.
  • Conduct vendor training to align on company goals, platforms, workflow, and standards.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 🚀

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Bilingual in English and Vietnamese is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 2+ years vendor management experience with factories supplying consumer goods.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles, SCM & ERP systems, forecasting, and demand planning is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic development skills.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain challenges, procurement processes, and delivery cycles, especially in developing countries.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures, respond promptly to vendor inquiries, and process data accurately under time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Judgment, initiative, and assertiveness to manage deadlines and resolve issues effectively.

Compensation & Employment Details

The annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 USD. You will be eligible for our benefits and bonus programs. Salary is determined by role, experience, skills, and location.
