Join our team as a Solutions Engineer (SE) and be a key player in delivering innovative technical solutions to our customers in Italy! 🚀

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to join our Italian presales team. This pivotal role involves providing technical expertise to support sales, designing complex solutions, and delivering value-driven outcomes for customers.

🎯 Primary Responsibilities

  • Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report any policy violations.
  • Design, configure complex solutions, and provide system engineering support.
  • Partner with Solution Architects on change requests (CR) and customer special requests (CSR).
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of F5 products and the surrounding ecosystem.
  • Leverage sales strategies to identify solutions aligning with customer business objectives.
  • Develop and support engaging presentations for customers and partners.
  • Articulate technical features and highlight the business benefits of the F5 value proposition.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and share insights with relevant teams.
  • Create case studies, white papers, and media content to showcase expertise.
  • Build collaborative relationships, share best practices, and negotiate effectively.
  • Utilize internal SE tools such as Salesforce.com, Vivun, SharePoint, Highspot, etc.
  • Maintain detailed account profiles, including organizational charts and technology needs.
  • Support the sales team using available resources and deliver outstanding customer service during the pre-sales phase.
  • Lead strategic opportunities, focusing on areas like application delivery, security, AI, and microservices.
  • Prepare customized, solution-based product presentations.
  • Provide consultative support and document proof-of-concept activities.
  • Understand business requirements and collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, and Support teams.
  • Perform problem solving independently and creatively, with additional duties as assigned.

💼 Channel Support Activities

  • Support F5 channel partner sales initiatives with technical expertise.
  • Provide training and competitive differentiation to channel partners.
  • Collaborate with sales management to qualify partner selling capabilities.

🔧 Post-Sales Activities

  • Understand and follow escalation processes.
  • Partner with Technical Support and customers/partners to resolve issues efficiently.

📝 Qualifications

  • Extensive pre-sales or systems engineering experience.
  • Experience in Public Clouds, Application Security, Application Delivery, Network Infrastructure, DevOps, SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS.
  • Knowledge of AI applications and environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Linux OS, scripting, and administration.
  • Programming or DevOps background is beneficial.
  • Experience in AI application development is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and account management skills.
  • Knowledge of F5 core products or equivalents.
  • Deep understanding of application delivery and security solutions.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (native speaker preferred).
