Position: Social Worker II
The Social Worker II works as an integral part of the social service team, collaborating closely with their Building Manager and reporting to the Clinical Coordinator or Director of Clinical and Social Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents in accessing medical and mental health services 🚑
- Assist residents in obtaining and maintaining entitlements 📝
- Help residents secure and sustain home care services 🏡
- Provide care coordination between community service providers as needed 🔄
- Develop one-on-one relationships with residents to offer comprehensive social work services 🤝
Qualifications & Requirements
- An exempt employee with a Master’s Degree (MSW) is required
- Ability to work independently and build trusted relationships with residents
- Strong commitment to supporting residents toward safe and independent living
Professional Development & Support
WSFSSH highly encourages MSW-level social workers to pursue licensure. We offer:
- Study groups for exam preparation 📚
- Financial support for study courses, licensing exams (up to 2), and registration fees 💰
- Coverage of CEU credits to meet licensing requirements after obtaining LMSW 🎓
- Weekly clinical supervision from an LCSW 🩺
- Work experience qualifies towards obtaining an LCSW, with eligibility typically after 3 years of full-time employment as an LMSW
- Coverage of testing and licensing fees for the clinical license
- Support for maintaining the LCSW with coverage of CEUs 🧾
