Position: Social Worker II
The Social Worker II operates as a key member of the social service team, working under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator or Director of Clinical and Social Services. They collaborate closely with the Building Manager to provide comprehensive social services to residents.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Must hold a Master's Degree (exempt employee)
- Ability to work independently and build 1:1 relationships with residents
- Provide a range of social work services to support residents in establishing and maintaining safe, independent lifestyles in the community
Professional Development & Support
At WSFSSH, we are committed to supporting M.S.W. level social workers in obtaining their LMSW license. We offer:

- Reimbursement for study courses and up to 2 licensing exams, including registration and licensing fees 💰

- Weekly clinical supervision by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Additionally, as a waivered agency with the NYS Education Department, we ensure the work experience of LMSWs counts toward obtaining their LCSW. Typically, after three years of full-time employment, a LMSW is eligible to apply for their LCSW.
Licensing & Certification Support

Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents in obtaining and maintaining appropriate medical and mental health services
- Support residents in accessing and maintaining entitlements
- Help residents secure and sustain home care services
- Provide care coordination between community service providers as needed
