Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative menus. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and managing a dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for fine dining excellence and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the development, preparation, and quality control of Sichuan and/or Hunan cuisine
• Ensure consistent flavor, efficient service, and compliance with brand standards
• Manage daily kitchen operations, including staff scheduling and task allocation
• Oversee ingredient purchasing, inventory management, and food cost control
• Strictly enforce food safety, sanitation standards, and local health regulations
• Support new store openings, menu optimization, and kitchen staff training

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sichuan or Hunan cuisine head chef
• Strong mastery of classic Sichuan/Hunan dishes with consistent, high-quality output
• Proven kitchen management experience with strong responsibility and execution skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work on payroll (tax reporting required)
• Mandarin speaking required
