Role Overview

As a Senior Solutions Consultant, you will bridge the gap between Sales, Finance, and Operations by guiding complex deals and consulting directly with prospective clients. Your understanding of financial workflows and your ability to craft high-value solutions will be instrumental in driving customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery & Solution Selling

• Lead discovery sessions with Finance, HR, and IT stakeholders to grasp their finance processes, pain points, and inefficiencies.
• Identify root causes of issues like manual reconciliation, lack of control, poor visibility, and compliance risks.
• Translate customer needs into practical solutions aligned with their finance controls.
• Build compelling business cases by connecting product capabilities to measurable outcomes such as time savings, improved controls, and faster closing processes.

Customer Engagement & Sales Support

• Partner with Account Executives to drive sales cycles, acting as a solution expert.
• Deliver tailored demos focusing on the customer's finance processes rather than generic product walks.
• Present to diverse stakeholders, especially Finance personas like Controllers and CFOs, articulating value in their language.
• Support RFPs, proof of concepts, and workshops as needed.
• Guide customers on how Perk integrates into their existing systems and processes.

Finance & Data Flow Expertise

• Serve as a trusted advisor on spend management, expense workflows, and financial controls.
• Explain end-to-end expense processes, including capture, approval, ERP export, postings, reconciliation, and compliance (tax/VAT, auditability).
• Ensure solutions align with how finance teams structure and process their data.

Integration & System Understanding

• Comprehend Perk's integrations with ERP, HR, and payroll systems.
• Describe data flow—expenses, invoices, card spend—from Perk into ERP & Accounting systems.
• Discuss integration methods confidently, including APIs and file exports.
• Collaborate with technical teams for architectural insights when necessary.

What We're Looking For

• 5-7 years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or related roles within SaaS, or backgrounds in finance, accounting, or consulting with system exposure.
• Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes, with practical experience working alongside finance teams.
• Proven track record in discovery, delivering demos, and leading solution discussions.
• Excellent storytelling & presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and build trust swiftly.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics, and how financial data moves between systems.
• Knowledge of system integrations supporting finance workflows, master data, and transactional data.
• Curious, customer-focused, and consultative mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and business impact.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
• Fluency in English and German; fluency in German is mandatory to support regional sales.
