Company Description

An established U.S. Asian product food manufacturer, swiftly expanding across the United States, is seeking an experienced, driven, and energetic Sales Manager to join their Sales & Marketing Department. The successful candidate will focus on growing sales within the grocery store channel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP, peers, brokers, and distributor network to develop, execute, and drive sales strategies targeting U.S. grocery stores—both National and Regional Retail Accounts.
  • Manage and motivate the broker network by engaging with all levels of broker personnel.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and sales goals, maximizing profitability. Participate in preparing the annual departmental operating budget, marketing plan, and business plan.
  • Oversee daily sales activities, including developing new accounts, maintaining existing ones, and implementing sales strategies outlined by the Sales Manager.
  • Develop and implement distribution targets and promotional plans aligned with company guidelines; manage customer sales forecasts, distribution targets, profitability, and trade spend.
  • Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with customers and distribution channels through meetings, site visits, and other engagement activities to meet sales projections.
  • Assist the VP of Sales and Marketing in producing monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-department collaborations with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to drive product development and enhance quality based on customer feedback.
  • Update the R&D team on food trends to facilitate new SKU creation and recipe improvements.
  • Participate in weekly or monthly sensory tastings for immediate feedback on product quality.
  • Represent the company at nationwide food shows, exploring new business opportunities.
  • Work alongside the CEO to implement new sales initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2 years minimum sales experience in the food industry.
  • Experience in managing food brokers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales cycles for different customer types, including retailers, wholesalers, and food service providers. Prior experience with mainstream markets is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally within the assigned sales territory.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in Google Apps, MS Office Suite, and related tools.

Additional Information
