Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide a positive dining experience by adhering to brand and Service Excellence standards.
• Create Elegant Ambiance: Set tables and maintain service stations to ensure a comfortable, upscale environment.
• Menu Expertise & Recommendations: Offer helpful explanations, suggestions, and wine pairings to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Prompt Food & Beverage Service: Deliver orders accurately and promptly, follow up to meet guest needs, and resolve any issues effectively.
• Increase Sales: Invite guests to try suitable wines and beverages, maximizing sales opportunities.
• First Impressions: Greet guests warmly, maintain a professional appearance, and foster positive interactions.
• Engage & Connect: Show genuine interest during service to build lasting guest relationships.
• Support Team Development: Coach and mentor junior wait staff to promote growth and excellence in service.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Graduated from a recognized Catering / Hotel Management School (preferred)
• 2-5 years of restaurant service experience on a cruise ship or at least 5 years in fine dining at premium restaurants or luxury hotels (5-star)
• Ability to explain menu pricing, food, wine, and cocktails to guests
• Deep knowledge of fine dining operations and restaurant service standards
• Strong communication skills and personable social aptitude to engage diverse guests
• Proficiency with computer systems and POS operations
• Fluent in both verbal and written English and Japanese
