Join our dedicated team as a Residential Advocate (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese) in New York, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting families and individuals through counseling, case management, and community engagement.

Position: Residential Advocate (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese)

Location: New York

Reports to: Manager, Residential Programs

🌟 Essential Functions:

• Manage a caseload of 5-9 clients within the Residential Programs, providing counseling, case management, and accompaniment services for clients’ legal, immigration, entitlement, and housing needs.
• Maintain proper documentation of case work and organize case files diligently.
• Support family well-being through structured activities, collaborating with children’s programming to foster family bonds, advocating for clients, and supporting team members across the organization.
• Facilitate support groups based on the house’s evolving needs.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as room preparation and light cleaning as needed.
• Ensure appropriate staffing of the residence, complying with regulations—staff cannot leave until replacements arrive and must be on call for emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

🎯 Qualifications:

• Fluent in English and Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required; or two years’ equivalent experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Interest and/or experience in domestic/sexual violence work or other humanitarian efforts—a big plus.
• Experience in a residential setting or in a high-paced environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently, with strong motivation and multitasking skills.
• Vocational, counseling, or crisis management experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of CPR/First Aid and fire safety is a plus.

🕒 Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. The schedule includes:

• Two daytime shifts from 9 am to 5 pm
• Three evening shifts from 1 pm to 9 pm

The shifts are designed to better support Residential clients by accommodating their availability to access services.

💼 Compensation Package:

Womankind offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package. The annual salary ranges from $50,000 to $52,000, depending on experience, skills, and education.
