Dow Jones Is Hiring A Research Editor
Dow Jones is seeking a dedicated Research Editor to join our Due Diligence team, focusing on producing high-quality reports on companies and individuals by leveraging both public sources and proprietary databases. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to accurate, timely, and insightful research that supports our clients' decision-making process. 🔍
About the Role
As a Research Editor, you will ensure that every report and project aligns with Dow Jones quality standards, meeting client requirements for precision and punctuality. You will also help develop, maintain, and test guidelines, data, and tools to uphold our standards of excellence. Additionally, you may collaborate with other teams in Data Strategy on special projects, utilizing your unique skills and expertise. You will report directly to the Manager, Due Diligence Research.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure reports are timely, complete, and accurate 📈
- Summarize complex information from foreign languages into English 🌐
- Compile and distill data from multiple sources into clear, concise reports
- Test new or enhanced system functionalities and products
- Support training efforts for new team members 👩🏫
- Participate in team and product-initiated projects
- Assist the R&C team with translation services as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent English writing skills
- Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Chinese, Portuguese, French, German, Hebrew, Dutch, Nordic languages, Russian, Arabic
- Knowledge and interest in international affairs and politics
- Strong research skills, including familiarity with online search tools
- Openness to diverse viewpoints and an appreciation for team diversity
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Due Diligence
- Specialized legal, business, or financial knowledge
