Responsibilities

• Interpret across industries: Provide consecutive interpretation between English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese in medical, legal, customer service, and other sectors.
• Ensure accuracy: Maintain clarity, neutrality, and emotional tone while interpreting complex conversations, idiomatic expressions, and specialized terminology.
• Maintain confidentiality: Uphold impartiality and confidentiality at all times.
• Manage calls professionally: Facilitate call flow, intervene respectfully for clarification, and handle emotional or high-pressure interactions with emotional intelligence.
• Active techniques: Apply note-taking, memory retention, and active listening to facilitate longer exchanges.
• Stay within role: Avoid offering personal opinions or advice, and adhere strictly to interpretation protocols.
• Participate in ongoing development: Engage in training, coaching, and feedback sessions to improve skills.
• Utilize tools: Use MS Office and internal platforms effectively to manage calls and logs.

Required Qualifications ✅

• High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.
• Fluency in English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese with B2+ proficiency or higher.
• Ability to pass language and interpreting assessments.
• At least 6 months of call center, customer service, or interpreting experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills, bilingual accuracy, and ethical judgment.
• Ability to handle emotionally complex situations professionally and clearly.
• Responsible, with good time management and integrity.
• Comfort with assertive communication and session control.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and MS Office.
• Quiet, distraction-free workspace for active listening.
• Stable home internet connection (no cellular data or hotspots).
• Identity Verification: Valid, government-issued photo ID required throughout recruitment and training.

Remote Work Requirements 🏡

• Quiet, comfortable workspace free of distractions.
• Desktop or laptop (Windows or Mac) with at least 16GB RAM.
