Your responsibilities include interpreting idiomatic expressions, specialized terminology, and emotionally charged content with professionalism and empathy.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Provide interpretation services between English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese across diverse industries (medical, legal, customer service, etc.)
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and neutrality while maintaining tone, intent, and emotion
- Uphold confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Manage call flow, intervening respectfully for clarification when needed
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence during high-pressure or emotionally charged calls
- Utilize memory retention, active listening, and note-taking techniques for longer exchanges
- Stay within the interpreter’s role, avoiding personal opinions or advice
- Participate in ongoing training and coaching sessions to continuously improve skills
- Operate basic computer tools (MS Office, internal platforms) to log activity and manage calls

🎓 Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Fluency in English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese with B2+ proficiency or higher
- Ability to pass language and interpretive skills assessments
- Minimum of 6 months experience in call center, customer service, or interpreting
- Strong verbal communication skills, professionalism, and ethical judgment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in emotionally charged scenarios
- Good time management, responsibility, and integrity
- Comfort with assertive communication and session control
- Basic computer skills, including typing and MS Office navigation
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace with stable internet connection (cable, DSL, or fiber)
- Identity Verification: Valid government-issued ID required throughout recruitment and training
