The Role: Trilingual Interpreter 🔍

As a TPC interpreter, you’ll support individuals by enabling accurate, culturally appropriate conversations during critical moments.

This role requires a high level of professionalism, speed, and precision—handling complex language, idioms, and specialized terminology with empathy and discretion.

Key Responsibilities ✅

• Provide interpretation: Facilitate communication in medical, legal, customer service, and other industries between English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
• Ensure accuracy: Maintain clarity and neutrality, preserving tone, intent, and emotion.
• Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Call management: Inspire professionalism, respectfully intervene for clarifications, and manage call flow.
• Emotional intelligence: Handle high-pressure and emotionally charged interactions with tact.
• Active techniques: Use note-taking, memory retention, and active listening to manage long exchanges.
• Role boundaries: Stay within interpretation duties; avoid giving personal opinions or advice.
• Continuous improvement: Engage in ongoing training, coaching, and feedback sessions.
• Technical skills: Utilize MS Office and internal tools for call and activity management.

Required Qualifications ✔️

• High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred
• Fluency in English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese (B2+ proficiency or higher)
• Ability to pass language and interpreting assessments
• Minimum 6 months of call center, customer service, or interpreting experience
• Excellent verbal communication and ethical decision-making skills
• Ability to handle complex, emotionally charged situations professionally
• Strong responsibility, integrity, and time management
• Assertive communication skills and session control
• Basic computer literacy: typing and MS Office
• Quiet workspace conducive to active listening
• Stable home internet connection (no cellular/hotspot)
• Valid government-issued photo ID (must be provided during recruiting and training)
