TransPerfect Connect (TPC) is seeking highly skilled, professional trilingual speakers fluent in English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese. This structured, call center-style position involves providing Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services to clients across healthcare, legal, financial, and customer service sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services between English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese across various industries (medical, legal, customer service)
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and neutrality, preserving tone, intent, and emotion
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
• Manage call flow professionally, intervening respectfully for clarification when needed
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence, especially in high-pressure or emotional interactions
• Apply memory retention, active listening, and note-taking techniques for longer exchanges
• Stay within the interpreter role, avoiding personal opinions or advice
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and feedback sessions
• Utilize computer tools (MS Office, internal platforms) to manage calls and log activities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
• Fluency in English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese with B2+ proficiency or higher
• Ability to pass language and interpreting skills assessments
• At least 6 months of call center, customer service, or interpreting experience
• Strong verbal communication and ethical decision-making skills
• Ability to handle fast-paced, emotionally complex situations professionally
• Time management, integrity, and sense of responsibility
• Comfort with assertive communication and session control
• Basic computer skills: typing and MS Office proficiency
• Quiet, distraction-free workspace conducive to active listening
• Stable internet connection (cable, DSL, fiber); cellular/hotspot not permitted
• Valid government-issued photo ID for verification during recruitment and training

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in medical, legal, or community interpreting (a strong plus)
• Experience with remote work tools and communication platforms
