Key Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese across various industries (medical, legal, customer service, etc.)
• Ensure accuracy, neutrality, and clarity while preserving tone, intent, and emotional content
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
• Manage call flow professionally, including respectful clarification when needed
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence in high-pressure or emotionally charged interactions
• Use active listening, note-taking, and memory techniques to manage longer conversations
• Stay within the interpreter role, avoiding personal opinions or advice
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and feedback sessions
• Utilize basic computer tools (MS Office, internal platforms) for call management and logging

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
• Fluency in English, Fuzhounese, Mandarin, and Cantonese with B2+ proficiency or higher
• Ability to pass language and interpreting skills assessments
• At least 6 months experience in call center, customer service, or interpreting roles
• Strong verbal communication, accuracy, and ethical judgment
• Ability to perform professionally in fast-paced, emotionally complex situations
• Excellent time management, responsibility, and integrity
• Comfort with assertive communication and session control
• Basic computer skills, including typing and MS Office
• Quiet, distraction-free workspace for active listening
• Stable home internet connection (no cellular hotspots)
• Identity verification: Valid government-issued photo ID required during recruitment and training stages

Preferred Qualifications
