United Nations Federal Credit Union Is Hiring A Remote Contact Center Agent I Bilingual

Join a dynamic team dedicated to exceptional service at the United Nations Federal Credit Union! We are hiring a Remote Contact Center Agent I (Bilingual - Native Spanish & English) based in Long Island City, NY.

Under general supervision, you will deliver prompt and courteous service to UNFCU members and colleagues. You'll build effective relationships, engage in diligent problem-solving, and take responsibility for resolving members' financial inquiries—all while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and UNFCU's ethical standards.

Who We're Looking For

  • Native Spanish speakers fluent in understanding, speaking, and writing in Spanish
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English with demonstrated proficiency in both languages
  • Remote work availability
  • Shift availability: 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM EST, Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturdays and alternate days off
  • NYC salary range: $48,780 - $50,000 annually (depending on geographic location)

What You'll Do 🚀

  • Uphold UNFCU's mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing exceptional service and demonstrating service excellence behaviors.
  • Become a trusted advisor using the service excellence model, identifying members' needs, and presenting relevant UNFCU products and services.
  • Respond to member inquiries via calls, emails, or chats covering a range of topics such as product information, account details, debit/credit card issues, and new account setup.
  • Research, identify, and resolve member concerns professionally; escalate issues as needed.
  • Meet contact center KPIs, including schedule adherence, average handle time, and quality scores, actively improving performance through supervisor feedback.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and organizational events as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team success.

What We're Seeking 🌟

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
  • Minimum two years of call center experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Service-oriented professional attitude with empathy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

  • Previous call center or customer service experience
  • Native proficiency in Spanish & English, demonstrating fluency in both languages
