Vital Research Is Hiring A Remote Bilingual Field Interviewer
Vital Research, in collaboration with various PACE programs, is seeking passionate contracted Field Interviewers to serve as independent contractors for impactful survey projects aimed at enhancing participant satisfaction. 🌟
Project Overview
Our PACE projects focus on gathering essential insights into key areas including:
- Access to essential services
- Communication with providers
- Choice and quality of services
- Medical transportation
- Personal safety
- Community inclusion and empowerment
Project Details
- Training: Mandatory virtual training begins mid-July.
- Duration: Runs from mid-July to November, or until all interviews are completed.
- Commitment: Conduct all interviews Monday through Saturday, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time.

Responsibilities
As an Interviewer, you will be instrumental in conducting remote, semi-structured interviews via phone with older adults from diverse backgrounds. Your role includes:
- ✅ Independently organizing and managing your interview schedule
- ✅ Conducting empathetic interviews, creating a comfortable and unbiased environment
- ✅ Tracking call dispositions and accessing participant information through an online platform
- ✅ Recording outcomes, resolving inconsistencies, and submitting findings accurately
- ✅ Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal HIPAA regulations and data security protocols
- ✅ Maintaining regular communication with Vital Research for updates and support
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency: Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
- Self-motivated and independent: Comfortable working remotely without direct supervision.
- Tech-savvy: Proficiency in Zoom and other web-based platforms.
- Sensitivity: Experience working with individuals with disabilities, understanding their needs.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to establish trust and rapport with participants.
- Equipment: Personal computer and secure Wi-Fi connection.
- Organized and attentive: Focus on accuracy and timely task completion.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in research fieldwork, especially interviewing or observational roles.
- Familiarity working with individuals with disabilities, group homes, or day centers.
- Energetic, resilient individuals with a sales-oriented mindset.
- Interest in professional development towards future social research roles or graduate studies.
Compensation Details
- 💰 $25 per hour for training
- 💵 $15 per hour when conducting 0-1 interviews
- 🎯 $11.50 per interview when conducting 2 or more interviews per hour
Note: Compensation covers all work hours, including travel, mileage, and supplies, per completed interview.
