Role Overview
As a Relationship Banker, you'll provide a top-tier client service experience in person and on the phone, fostering new and existing client relationships. Your role includes offering tailored financial solutions, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with internal partners. Cross-training for teller duties may be part of your responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Client Service & Sales: Handle routine client requests, resolve issues, and promote deposit, credit, and other services with proficiency.
- Relationship Development: Meet or exceed client service and sales targets through consultative conversations and relationship expansion.
- Team Collaboration: Support the team’s sales process by referring clients to specialists for complex needs.
- Leadership Participation: Engage fully in all components of the Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
- Knowledge Growth: Enhance sales techniques and product knowledge through training and learning activities.
- Lending Support: Advise on consumer lending options and assist with loan applications.
- Compliance & Risk: Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and stay updated on policy changes.
- Customer Engagement: Provide courteous service, conduct transactions professionally, and assist clients in navigating the branch.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of client sales and service experience
- Experience sourcing and building client relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must become SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days and meet NMLS requirements
- Ability to multitask efficiently under time constraints
- Flexibility to travel and work weekends or extended hours as needed
Preferred
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience selling deposit, credit, and retirement products
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Knowledge of bank operations and policies
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
Relationship Banker
- Annual base salary: $45,760 - $59,500
- Additional incentive pay available
Senior Relationship Banker
- Annual base salary: $45,760 - $68,500
- Additional incentive pay available
