Position Overview: Pool Deck & Beach Guest Service Host/Hostess 🌊🏖️

As a cast member, you will maintain poolside cabanas for all guests, providing exemplary guest service at various pool locations. You will also staff the Dive Shop, slide dispatch, and pool gates to ensure guests have a memorable experience.

Responsibilities 📝

• Ensure guest safety; may be the first responder to emergency situations 🚑
• Welcome cabana guests and create a warm, inviting atmosphere 🏕️
• Maintain the upkeep of all cabanas and surrounding area 🧹
• Assist with clearing towels, lifejackets, and trash from the pool deck 🧺
• Enforce rules and safety guidelines in recreational areas politely ✔️
• Greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude 🤝
• Address guest needs proactively—answer questions, provide directions, and share information 🗺️
• Frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling 🚶‍♀️🤸‍♂️
• Use hands extensively during the shift 💪
• Observe guests attentively to promote safety and guest satisfaction 🔍
• Work comfortably indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions 🌞🌧️

Basic Qualifications ✅

• Proficient in English and Japanese
• Strong verbal communication skills; positive guest engagement 💬
• Enthusiastic and receptive to guest interaction 😊
• Proactive in anticipating guest needs
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks with high quality
• Responsible, mature, energetic, and open to feedback 🔄
• Must know how to swim 🏊‍♂️
• Ability to stand for 2-3 hours and lift heavy items as needed 🏋️‍♀️
• Minimum age: 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications 🌟

• Previous hotel or resort experience
• Cabanas or pool service background
• Knowledge of resort and surrounding areas
• Japanese or Hawaiian language skills
• Experience in hospitality or tourism on the Hawaiian Islands
• Availability for any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Additional Information 🕒

Schedule Availability: Full-time; full availability required seven days a week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
