Join Our Team as a Quality Control Technician! 🚨

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician responsible for maintaining and organizing our Food Safety Program documentation and ensuring compliance with safety standards to uphold the highest quality in our operations.

Responsibilities & Duties 📝

  • Document Management: Maintain, correct, disseminate, and organize the company’s Food Safety Program Documentation (SQF Level 2 Modules 2 and 11), Employee Hazard, and Safety Program.
  • Testing & Analysis: Perform testing, disassemble/reassemble equipment, analyze, verify, calibrate, validate, and review documentation.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Ensure a high level of cleanliness, food safety awareness, and OSHA compliance at all times for yourself and your team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee SQF Guidance Documents in production, ensuring full departmental compliance.
  • Operational Inspections: Complete pre-operation checklists, inspections, and address concerns promptly.
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Create, modify, review, and file FSMS documentation to meet regulatory and customer standards.
  • Communication: Document actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to maintain team continuity.
  • Calibration & Testing: Conduct and interpret routine calibrations, documenting results, and addressing issues as needed.
  • Food Safety Compliance: Follow GMP, SQF, and company policies during investigative procedures.
  • Customer Requirements: Review product specifications to ensure proper usage and compliance.
  • Training & Development: Implement and deliver training to new employees.
  • Site Audits: Regularly review retail stores and production facilities for adherence to Food Safety standards and implement corrections when necessary.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with creating paperwork, signage, or policies in various departments for non-FSMS objectives.
  • Flexibility & Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support team needs.

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

Minimum Education & Experience

  • At least 2 years of food safety experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of standard safety practices
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules and shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Certification in relevant food safety areas

Preferred Education & Experience 🌟

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with GFSI, OSHA, or GMP auditing within a production warehouse
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, GFSI, GMP, FDA, NJDEP, DOT, and local regulations
  • Degree or certifications related to food safety
  • HACCP Certified
  • FSMA-Certified
  • Food Defense Certified
  • Self-Auditing Training
