About the Role
RTS and Shamrock Trading Corporation are seeking a proactive and personable Business Development Manager to join our sales team. This role focuses on lead generation and intensive outbound prospecting to find the best solutions suited to our customers' needs. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious, adaptable, and excels in building relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Generation & Closing: Understand and execute all processes from prospecting to closing new accounts.
- Consultative Sales: Engage clients in discussions to assess their needs and present tailored RTS fuel card solutions.
- Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify and leverage cross-divisional opportunities to increase account value.
- Relationship Building: Develop and sustain long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Issue Resolution: Assist with high-severity requests and escalate issues as needed.
- Process Optimization: Follow all procedures to maximize sales yield according to senior management strategies.
- Strategic Planning & Market Analysis: Contribute to market analysis, customer segmentation, and penetration strategies.
- Industry Monitoring: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market potentials to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
- Collaboration & Support: Work with product marketing teams on launches, sales tools, and delivering impactful presentations.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key metrics to refine sales approaches.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Educational & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of business development experience.
- Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated success in professional, solutions-based sales, especially via phone.
- Sales Skills: Experience with high-volume cold calling and face-to-face sales.
- Customer Service & Project Management: Exceptional customer service skills and ability to manage projects effectively.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-product sales environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with an interest in value and comparative analysis.
