Position: Punjabi & Hindi Interpreter - Flexible Schedule

Hourly Pay: $20.00 - $25.00

Job Responsibilities

The interpreter's main role is to **convey thoughts and intentions accurately and swiftly** into the target language, ensuring cultural competence and message integrity throughout the communication process.

• Quickly grasp spoken phrases and express the messaging concisely while maintaining the original intent
• Offer language solutions through both on-site in-person and remote interpreting
• Communicate professionally and conduct interpreting sessions effectively
• Maintain confidentiality as required by HIPAA during all encounters

Desired Traits & Skills

• Fluency in English, Punjabi, and Hindi
• Excellent listening, speaking, and retention skills
• Experience with medical terminology
• Promptly handle timekeeping and administrative tasks
• Willingness and ability to travel across various locations
• Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance
• Availability during standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with flexibility
• Successful passing of pre-screening assessments, background checks, drug screenings, and verification of work authorization
• Willingness to obtain necessary medical clearances (TB, MMR, Varicella immunity) and stay up-to-date with vaccinations
