Job Responsibilities

The primary role of an interpreter is to swiftly and accurately convey thoughts and intentions from one language to another, ensuring cultural nuances are preserved and the message is received as intended. This involves:

• Quickly understanding spoken phrases
• Expressing messages concisely in the target language
• Maintaining the integrity of the conversation
• Demonstrating cultural competence

Interpreters Should Also Possess The Following Traits

• ✦ Ability to promptly comprehend spoken phrases and express messages accurately while preserving original intent
• ✦ Offer both on-site and remote interpretation sessions
• ✦ Communicate professionally and manage interpretation sessions effectively
• ✦ Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• 📝 Fluency in English, Punjabi, and Hindi
• 📝 Excellent listening, speaking, and retention skills for accurate message delivery
• 📝 Experience with medical terminology
• 📝 Promptly submit timekeeping and administrative tasks
• 📝 Ability to travel across multiple regional locations
• 📝 Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance
• 📝 Availability during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) with flexibility
• 📝 Successful completion of pre-screening assessments, background checks, drug screenings, and work authorization verification
• 📝 Willingness to obtain necessary medical clearances such as TB, MMR, Varicella immunity, and vaccinations
