We are seeking a dedicated and innovative French educator to inspire young learners and foster their growth across intellectual, emotional, social, and physical domains within our Preschool and Lower School programs.

🤝 General Summary

The successful candidate will provide instruction and support to Preschool and Lower School children through engaging and innovative methods for French language acquisition, aligning with the school's curriculum goals. They will motivate students to realize their full potential and develop skills in French culture and language while fostering a nurturing learning environment.

🔑 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Enhance Student Performance: Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, tailored to students’ maturity and interests.
• Curriculum Planning: Design instruction consistent with approved curriculum standards in French, oral proficiency, and the World Language Program.
• Supportive Learning Environment: Encourage social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation among students.
• Differentiated Instruction: Modify teaching methods to accommodate students of varying abilities.
• Assessment & Monitoring: Diagnose, intervene, monitor, and adjust instruction based on student needs.
• Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report on student data to inform instruction.
• Collaboration: Work with the world language team to plan and implement effective lessons and interventions.
• Lesson Preparation: Prepare classes ahead of time and demonstrate readiness when requested.
• Substitute Planning: Develop plans to support seamless instruction during absences.
• Assessment Development: Create formative and summative assessments to evaluate and guide student learning.
• Communication: Provide regular feedback to students and parents, utilizing assessment data to refine instruction.
• Curriculum Enhancement: Collaborate with administrators to strengthen the preschool and lower school curriculum.
• Program Enrichment: Initiate and coordinate activities that enrich the school’s World Language Program.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks as assigned by preschool and lower school administration.

• Strong content expertise in French and elementary education, with a preference for dual language experience.
• Ability to interpret data to inform instructional improvements.
• Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for working with diverse student populations.

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in French or French Education required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Dual language certification is not mandatory but a plus.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.
