Are you meticulous, with excellent listening and transcription skills? Welo Data is seeking talented individuals to contribute to an exciting project by transcribing audio content with precision and cultural awareness.

What You Will Do:

• Listen and Transcribe: Convert audio recordings in the target language into accurate written content.
• Add Timestamps: Attach timestamps to ensure the transcription aligns perfectly with the audio.
• Tag Metadata: Enhance transcriptions by including emotions, context, and other relevant tags to enrich the output.
• Maintain Cultural Relevance: Ensure transcriptions reflect the tone, meaning, and cultural nuances of the recordings.
• Collaborate: Work with the project team to maintain consistency and quality across all documents.
• Meet Deadlines: Adhere to project timelines and follow specific guidelines for formatting and style.

Project Details:

• Commitment: Flexible hours, with a minimum of 10-15 hours per week (up to 20 hours depending on availability).
• Job Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
• Location: Remote
• Language: Chinese (Cantonese)
• Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native mastery (C1/C2 level) in Cantonese, with strong English skills.
• Experience: Prior work in transcription, translation, or linguistic projects is highly valued.
• Dialect & Emotion Recognition: Ability to discern regional dialects, emotions, and contextual cues in audio recordings.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on error-free transcriptions.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with transcription tools/software, timestamps, and tagging.
• Deadline-Oriented: Capable of delivering consistent, high-quality work within deadlines.
