Your Mission

As our Production Unit Director, your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing our production site to achieve world-class manufacturing standards
  • Aligning operations with corporate strategies and plans
  • Driving production performance and financial targets
  • Cultivating a culture of competence, motivation, and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws, industry standards, ISO, and EHS requirements
  • Enhancing organizational capabilities with a focus on production efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability
  • Embedding lean production principles in all practices

The position is based in Semine, Japan. You will be a valued member of the Global Insert Management team and report directly to the Global Director for Sandvik Coromant Insert Production. Occasional travel will be required. 🌏

Your Profile

  • Proven experience leading production teams in industrial environments
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans with clarity, engagement, and trust
  • Strong financial skills for making sustainable decisions
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional ability to connect, listen, explain, and energize
  • Global experience and a respectful understanding of Japanese culture are highly valued
