Your Mission
As our Production Unit Director, your responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing our production site to achieve world-class manufacturing standards
- Aligning operations with corporate strategies and plans
- Driving production performance and financial targets
- Cultivating a culture of competence, motivation, and continuous improvement
- Ensuring compliance with local laws, industry standards, ISO, and EHS requirements
- Enhancing organizational capabilities with a focus on production efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability
- Embedding lean production principles in all practices
The position is based in Semine, Japan. You will be a valued member of the Global Insert Management team and report directly to the Global Director for Sandvik Coromant Insert Production. Occasional travel will be required. 🌏
Your Profile

- Proven experience leading production teams in industrial environments
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans with clarity, engagement, and trust
- Strong financial skills for making sustainable decisions
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both verbal and written
- Exceptional ability to connect, listen, explain, and energize
- Global experience and a respectful understanding of Japanese culture are highly valued
