Position Overview

A growing primary care clinic in Parkville, Maryland, is looking for a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician who is fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese). The physician will provide compassionate, comprehensive outpatient care to a diverse patient demographic, with a special focus on serving the local Chinese-speaking community. 🤝

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient internal medicine or family medicine services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and evaluation of acute illnesses. 🩺
• Perform thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Provide culturally competent care, ensuring effective communication with Chinese-speaking patients and their families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical meetings, and ongoing educational programs. 📚

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Current Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese); spoken required, written preferred.
• Experience in outpatient or community primary care settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
• Strong commitment to serving multilingual and multicultural patient populations.
