$240,000 - $270,000 *Wider range available depending on experience and location
Role Overview
The purpose of a Primary Care Physician at Oak Street Health is to deliver equitable and effective value-based healthcare to local Medicare populations at our neighborhood primary care centers.
Our Primary Care Physicians work within a single medical center supported by extensive care teams, enabling a focus on quality over volume. Ideal candidates are intrinsically motivated to provide excellent care to older adults. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Highly qualified candidates may also be considered for a Center Medical Director role.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose: Evaluate patients at our local clinics
- Oversee primary care: Lead, direct, and manage patient treatment plans
- Prescribe treatments: Administer pharmaceuticals and medication as needed
- Maintain records: Manage Patient Electronic Medical Records via Canopy and Greenway
- Collaborate: Work with regional and central leadership to achieve health quality goals
- Lead team coordination: Partner with Practice Managers to supervise and manage the care team
- Other duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) Graduate
- Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certification (or eligibility)
- Active, non-probationary, unrestricted State License
- Active DEA license
- U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Geriatrics
- Experience with Geriatric populations
- Experience in a Value-Based Healthcare Model
- Demonstrated success in collaborative healthcare settings
- Experience in outpatient primary care
- Bilingual proficiency: Cantonese and English (where applicable)
Work Schedule & Compensation
Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Time Type: Full-time
Pay Range:
$174,070 - $374,920
The actual salary will depend on experience, education, location, and other factors.
