A fantastic opportunity for full-time or part-time Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to become part of a well-established primary care group dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare in the vibrant city of New Orleans.

About the Practice 🏥

This reputable group offers a wide range of primary care services including OB/GYN, chronic disease management, health screenings, behavioral health, counseling, stress management, and family therapy. Known for delivering high-quality, cost-effective care, they have received national recognition for their patient-centered approach.

Schedule & Compensation 💼

  • Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday Rotation: 1-2 Saturdays per year, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Work Schedule: Preference for full-time; part-time considered
  • EMR System: Athena
  • Patients per Day: 15-18

Call & Work Environment 📞

The use of a call service ensures a light call schedule, primarily by phone—with no hospital duties involved. Calls are rotated among providers to maintain work-life balance.

What You'll Be Doing 📝

  • Conduct physical exams and medical assessments
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Prescribe medications and treatments
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed
  • Coordinate care with healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Develop and implement treatment plans collaboratively
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

  • Current registration as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Louisiana
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program (ANA or AANP accredited)
  • Excellent clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Adherence to legal and ethical standards; patient confidentiality
  • Community health experience is a plus
  • Up-to-date Continuing Education credits
