Polish Music Consultant (Localization) — Remote

At Duolingo, we're dedicated to developing top-tier education that is available to all. We're seeking a passionate Music Localization Consultant to help enhance the user experience for Polish learners through high-quality localization of our Music course. This is a contract role, flexible and open to candidates worldwide. Please note, this position does not include benefits.

🔍 Responsibilities

• Leverage your music expertise to support the localization of Duolingo's Music course, proofread content, and ensure musical concepts resonate accurately and compellingly for Polish speakers within Poland.
• Develop and maintain a Polish music glossary based on English content and internal style guides.
• Collaborate with teams by aligning pedagogical approaches with the Music and Polish localization teams to capture key teaching strategies in translation.
• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) to verify that exercises are understandable, engaging, and pedagogically sound for Polish Music learners.

🎯 Requirements

• Native fluency in Polish and proficient in English.
• 2+ years of professional experience teaching Western music, with expertise in theory and/or Western music theory in Polish.
• Familiarity with pedagogical methods related to music, beginner piano, and Western music theory.
• [Preferred] Experience localizing online, mobile, or gaming products.
• [Preferred] Experience in developing music curricula.
• Strong interest and passion for Duolingo's mission.
• Availability to work 5-20 hours/week for a contract duration of 2-5 months (flexible; weekly workload may vary).
