📝 Role Overview

The Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist plays a vital role in supporting both patient care and laboratory workflows. This position combines phlebotomy and medical assisting duties, ensuring accurate specimen collection while maintaining safety, efficiency, and professionalism. 🎯 Key Duties

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection with precision, prioritizing patient comfort and safety 🤝.
• Collect, label, and process specimens following established laboratory protocols and standards.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and patient flow management.
• Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent infection and preserve specimen integrity.
• Prepare and handle laboratory specimens for testing and transport.
• Accurately document patient interactions, procedures, and specimen details in the medical records.
• Keep exam rooms and lab areas tidy and ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained.
• Provide compassionate care by explaining procedures and addressing patient questions or concerns 🩺.
• Follow all clinic policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety regulations.

📝 Requirements

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Phlebotomist
• Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques, specimen handling, and clinical procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
• Phlebotomy certification required or strongly preferred; Medical Assistant certification a plus
• Experience in healthcare or outpatient setting preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

💰 Compensation & Benefits

Pay: From $24.00 per hour 💵
