Full Description

A temporary employee wellness clinic serving a corporate/industrial workforce in Richmond, VA is seeking a Spanish Speaking Patient Care Coordinator with phlebotomy experience. This role supports workplace screening operations by assisting patients with referral scheduling and performing skilled specimen collections within a professional workplace environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a supportive, organized patient experience. Clinic events are scheduled periodically as part of workplace wellness programming and do not follow a fixed schedule.

Qualified candidates may include LPNs, Phlebotomists, Medical Assistants, or Paramedics with phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

  • 🩺 Assist with setup of mobile clinics within corporate environments to support employee wellness programs
  • 💉 Perform and collect accurate venipuncture and specimen collections
  • 📋 Review health history, record patient information, and update electronic health records (EHR)
  • 🗓️ Assist patients with referral scheduling and follow-up appointments
  • 📚 Provide education and guidance on next steps for care
  • 🤝 Coordinate with insurance providers for scheduling or documentation as needed
  • 🌐 Establish and maintain relationships with service providers
  • 🤝 Maintain professionalism and treat patients with respect
  • 🌟 Deliver excellent customer service
  • 📝 Assist with documentation, data tracking, and basic spreadsheet reporting when appropriate
  • ⚙️ Support smooth clinic workflow in a temporary on-site screening environment

Requirements

  • 🎓 Active and unrestricted clinical license or certification
  • 🩹 Current BLS / ACLS certification required
  • 💉 Phlebotomy experience required (certification preferred)
  • 🗣️ Fluent in Spanish (bilingual required)
  • 💻 Experience with medical scheduling and familiarity with EMR systems is a plus
  • 🤗 Customer service-oriented with excellent bedside manner
  • ✍️ Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 🚶‍♂️ Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • 💻 Must bring a personal laptop or tablet for electronic charting and documentation
  • 🚗 Reliable commute to Richmond, VA 23224
