Hourly Pay Range 💰

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights 📋

• Position: Patient Access Representative
• Location: Naperville
• Status: Full Time
• Hours: 9am to 9:30pm on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays

What You Will Need 🛠️

Education 🎓

• High School diploma or GED
• Associate degree in business or healthcare (Preferred)

License 🚗

• A valid driver’s license is required if performing duties at an off-site location. If using a personal vehicle, maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law. Evidence of coverage may be requested.

Experience & Skills (Preferred) 🌟

• Manual dexterity to operate various office machines
• 1-2 years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service experience in healthcare
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, and anatomy
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bilingual skills (preferred)

What You Will Do 🔧

Under supervision and according to established policies, you will:

• Provide timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection, and medical information system functions for inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, immediate care, and same-day surgery patients.
• Collect, analyze, and record demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from multiple sources.
• Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to ensure correct payment.
• Interact with patients and their families in a customer-focused manner, ensuring they understand the hospital's revenue cycle processes and payment options.
