The Academy is looking for a passionate part-time French instructor to join our team, working closely with the Principal for Academic Affairs and colleagues in the Modern & Classical Languages Department. 🔍 Responsibilities

• Create engaging lesson plans and classroom activities that promote language proficiency
• Prepare and organize teaching materials effectively
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate classroom records
• Meet with parents, colleagues, and professionals to support student success
• Participate in campus events and departmental meetings
• Develop and update curricula for French courses, including honors, college dual credit, and advanced placement classes (pending certification)
• Support experiential learning opportunities, possibly including domestic or international travel
• Contribute to the department’s mission and the broader school community

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in French (required)
• Certification and experience in teaching dual credit courses (preferred)
• Experience with language acquisition methodologies or a strong desire to achieve proficiency-based teaching
• Knowledge of best practices in education
• Passion for inspiring and empowering young women
• Ability to integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum
• Collaborative attitude for cross-curricular planning
• Flexibility, optimism, and creativity with a focus on student-centered learning
• Enthusiasm for school community involvement outside the classroom
