Position Overview:
Assist teachers with one-on-one or small group instruction, support children in classroom settings—both regular and special education—requiring bilingual/bi-literate skills. Responsibilities include preparing classroom materials, maintaining student records, and providing instructional assistance to reinforce learning for individuals or small groups.

Requirements:
- Education: Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED
- Experience: Prior experience working with students in classroom or similar environments
- Skills: Knowledge of and competency in a second language (Dari/Farsi and English)
- Certification: Successful completion of a competency exam resulting in certification
Licenses and Certifications:
- Possibly valid driver’s license
- Approved competency examination
- Valid First Aid/CPR card (may be required)
Required Documents:
- NCLB Compliance: 48 college units (semester) OR pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam
- Proof of High School Graduation: High School Diploma, Transcripts, or Equivalent (e.g., GED)
