Job Description

• Availability: Be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Guest Experience: Ensure the franchise and Shaner Brand standards are met, providing exceptional experiences for guests.
• Policy Adherence: Follow all facility, franchise, and Shaner policies.
• Massage & Body Services: Perform treatments that meet established guidelines and fulfill guest expectations.
• Service Delivery: Perform all menu services based on current licensure.
• Guest Assessment: Identify contraindications that may prevent certain services.
• Guest Needs: Always prioritize and meet guest needs throughout the service.
• Universal Precautions: Use proper safety measures during all treatments.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and disinfect all equipment after use.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all offered spa services and ingredients, explaining their benefits professionally.
• Product Recommendations: Suggest suitable products for guests' home care.
• Additional Treatments: Recommend other beneficial spa treatments.
• Work Area: Keep all areas clean and properly set according to procedures.
• Inventory: Communicate product needs to Lead Therapist and Spa Director.
• Client Records: Create and maintain client cards and treatment notes when appropriate.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering relaxing massages and body treatments that leave guests with lasting impressions. They should cultivate an environment of calm and professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid state license in massage therapy or related credentials
• At least one year of customer service experience; spa experience preferred
• Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments a plus
• Previous massage and body work experience
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, management, and co-workers
• Ability to build rapport with guests and explain treatments clearly
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
• Excellent customer service skills and work ethic
• Well-organized, efficient, and multitask capable
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivating attitude
• Professional demeanor, discretion, and appearance
• Strong team player mindset
