Position Overview

The Nursing Coordinator – MD Orders will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timely submission, tracking, and completion of all physician orders. This role is vital in maintaining clinical compliance and ensuring patients receive prompt and proper care.

Key Responsibilities – MD Orders

• Review all MD orders for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Submit physician orders to medical offices promptly
• Track the status and retrieval of all MD orders
• Maintain MD order spreadsheets and reports for clinical meetings
• Follow up with physician offices regarding unsigned or missing orders
• Notify the Director of Patient Services (DPS) when orders cannot be obtained
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of all signed orders
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and agency policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework preferred)
• Prior experience in a home care, healthcare, or clinical office setting
• Familiarity with MD orders, Plans of Care, and clinical documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HHAeXchange is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
