What You'll Do

Clinical Care 🩺

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, diagnostic interpretation, and differential diagnosis formulation.
• Manage primary and secondary cardiovascular conditions under physician supervision—covering preventive care, chronic disease management, and post-procedure follow-up.
• Assist in evaluating and initially stabilizing acute or complex conditions, with appropriate physician consultation.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics following clinical protocols.
• Perform approved procedures and minor interventions, consistent with training and competency.

Medication Management 💊

• Prescribe, adjust, and discontinue medications according to California PA regulations, supervising physician agreements, and clinic policies.
• Educate patients on medication use, risks, benefits, and follow-up care.
• Participate in controlled substance prescribing, adhering to practice protocols and legal requirements.

Care Coordination & Documentation 📝

• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records per standards and regulations.
• Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services.
• Assist with referrals, transitions of care, and follow-up planning.

Supervision & Collaboration 🤝

• Work under the supervision of designated cardiologists.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Supervise delegated clinical tasks performed by medical assistants, following scope and clinic policies.

Quality & Compliance 🛡️

• Participate in chart reviews, quality assurance, and performance evaluations.
• Adhere to clinical policies, procedures, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active, unrestricted California NP license.
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
• Prior cardiology or internal medicine experience (preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual Cantonese/Mandarin strongly preferred.

Environmental & Working Conditions 🌍

• This is an onsite position at 506 W. Valley Ave, Unit #100, San Gabriel, CA 91776. Rounding occurs at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, Alhambra Medical Center, and Garfield Medical Center.
• Typically scheduled Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM, with weekend rotation.
• Target annual compensation ranges from $145,000 to $155,000, depending on experience, location, and other factors.
