We are seeking experienced, Hindi-speaking mental health professionals to collaborate on cutting-edge AI safety and mental health initiatives.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Expert, you will work on confidential projects focused on AI safety and mental health policy for large language models (LLMs). Your responsibilities will include roleplaying clinical scenarios with AI, red teaming, and identifying behavioral edge cases, all while ensuring ethical standards and patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and testing AI chat scenarios 📝
• Conducting qualitative conversation analyses 🔍
• Developing behavioral taxonomies, personas, and evaluation rubrics 📊
• Providing expert feedback on internal mental health policies 💬
• Collaborating with engineers and researchers on safety metrics 🤝
• Documenting edge cases and model failures 📂
• Supporting testing and fine-tuning through structured scenarios ⚙️
• Maintaining confidentiality and quality assurance standards 🔒
• Participating in interdisciplinary review sessions 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates are proactive, dependable, communicative, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in Hindi. If not, consider applying to our general Mental Health Expert pool.
• Graduate-level training or current studies in psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatry, or related fields 🎓
• Experience with crisis intervention, risk assessment, and severe psychopathology 🚨
• Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (LLMs) 🤖
• Strong understanding of ethics and confidentiality 🔐
• Ability to work remotely using Slack, LLM tools, and Microsoft Office 💻
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and accepting feedback 🔄
• Willing to sign NDAs and handle sensitive content 📝
• Availability of up to 10 hours per week, including occasional scheduled meetings ⏰

Above and Beyond

• Completed degree or licensure in a related field 🎓
• 5+ years of clinical crisis experience 📈
• Experience working with youth and young adults 🌱
• Background in roleplay, theatrical work, or conversational design 🎭
• Experience in trust & safety, content moderation, or behavioral data labeling 🛡️
• Interest in AI, NLP, or ML applications in clinical settings 🤓
• Active membership in online communities like Discord or Reddit 🌐

Compensation

Hourly rates range from $30 to $200 based on licensure and experience:

• $30/hr for pre-licensed and graduate students 🎓
• $50/hr for master's level clinicians 🩺
• $100/hr for doctoral-level clinicians 🎖️
