Position Summary

This role is essential for providing multilingual monitoring and analysis of foreign news sources within the Area of Operations (AOR). The analyst will deliver timely, contextual insights on current events, identify trends on foreign affairs issues, and ensure public affairs efforts are coordinated seamlessly across CENTCOM operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform multilingual monitoring and analysis 🌎
• Provide regional expertise and strategic support
• Analyze foreign media coverage and draft detailed reports
• Offer cultural and linguistic expertise
• Provide translation and interpretation services
• Deliver crisis and surge support, including possible travel to the CENTCOM AOR

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI
• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in media analysis, regional studies, or related fields
• Media Monitoring Experience: Extensive monitoring within the CENTCOM AOR
• Language Fluency: ILR 3/3/3 in Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Russian, Hebrew, or Pashto
• Preferred Skills: Data analysis, research, cultural awareness, communication, critical thinking, networking

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Potential extensive computer screen use
• Extended working hours may be necessary
